StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm Pre Beta Event in June

I wonder how quickly I would be crushed by a StarCraft pro capable of 300 actions per minute? I imagine it would be like to trying to tackle NFL running back Adrian Peterson — a fast, painful steamrolling. A number of those machine-like pros will be on hand for MLG’s Spring Championship, and they’ll be among the first to play StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. Blizzard announced today it will offer a beta sneak peek of StarCraft 2’s first expansion at the tournament, giving attendees — pros and schmoes alike — a chance to go hands on.

Want to be among the first to try Heart of the Swarm? Get your ticket to Anaheim, California now. The MLG Spring Championship begins on June 8 and runs through the 10th, and Blizzard says there will be a large number of public Heart of the Swarm demo stations available.

Pick up your $35 pass for the event at the MLG online store.

For those of you that can’t make it, the event is an indication that Blizzard is now close (well, close for Blizzard) to finally launching the official beta. I’d say it’s a safe bet we’ll be able to start playing the StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm beta in late June
