Metal Gear Solid 5 is expected to launch at some point during Konami’s 2014 fiscal year, according to Nomura Securities, a Japanese investment analyst company.
That puts the game on course for a release sometime between April 2013 and March 2014. Yes, not precise but still. It’s unclear if the investment firm has any substantial insider knowledge, or if this is just a well-educated projection.
Elsewhere in the report (via Andriasang), Nomura forecasted Konami’s operating earnings will rise 15% to ¥60 billion in fiscal 2014. Interestingly, this will mainly come from the publisher’s willingness to back new social games, while its revenue from traditional software is expected to be lower than normal.
Metal Gear Solid 5 only year away? Or just hopeful thinking?
