As you play Trine 2, even non-gamer passers-by will stop to remark on how gorgeous it looks as its visually delightful fairytale story comes to life on screen. Positively slathered with bright colors, amazing attention to detail, and beautiful lighting, it's a dreamlike world, except you get to play it and solve clever physics and platforming puzzles along the way.
The heroic trio of Wizard, Knight, and Thief returns to follow the flying magic... sparkly... thingy known as the Trine, which suddenly gets the team back together for another round of kingdom-saving. Soon, it becomes a mildly dark and creepy tale of sibling rivalry gone worse than usual. The twist is unsurprising to say the least, but enjoyable and well suited for the fairytale setting.
